Asset management & digital transformation · Denmark

Kongsbak Refshauge

An independent advisory practice for infrastructure and utilities: asset management, maintenance systems and the digital transformation programmes around them.

01About

The practice brings close to 20 years of consulting experience, from 2008 onwards, in digital strategy and transformation, with a consistent focus on benefit realization in digital transformation initiatives.

The work spans project and programme management, stakeholder management and communication, alongside people leadership, organizational design and change, including governance setup.

Deeply rooted in Danish infrastructure and the utilities sector, the practice translates complex technical landscapes into actionable deliveries — from strategic roadmap to concrete system implementation.

A practice that understands both the technical reality in the field and the business logic in the boardroom.

Kongsbak Refshauge ApS is led by Christian Kongsbak Refshauge, who runs every engagement personally and draws in specialists when a task calls for it.

Current focus

AI ambitions are only worth as much as the data underneath them.

A great deal of attention is on AI right now, and a fair amount of criticism of those who follow the ambition without having control of the underlying data quality, reliability and integrity. That control is the current focus of the practice — because it is what makes benefit from AI initiatives possible, when the data foundation can actually be trusted.

A management consultancy with a heart for impact

Alongside the client work sits a second track: initiatives started, chaired or backed because they should exist, not because they were briefed.

Student & Innovation House and Station Fonden

The same initiative at two stages: first the association that created the house, then the foundation that carries it on.

The founder group established an association and built an innovation house for students out of an empty police station. The association still exists.
